Skowhegan State Fairgrounds
Skijor Skowhegan: Northeast Equestrian Skijoring Regionals is Maine’s first and one of two equestrian skijoring competitions in New England. In this team time-trial race, a horse and rider pull a snowboarder or alpine skier down a 1,000-foot track of gates and jumps. Competitors compete for cash prizes, swag, and bragging rights!

Baxter Brewing will be on-site pouring local favorites all day and hosting the official Skijor Beer Garden, open 11 a.m. through the final awards ceremony. Warm up between races with Maine-made craft beer and a full selection of fan favorites.
Spectator Information
Gates: 10 a.m.
Opening ceremony: 10:45 a.m.
First race: 11 a.m.
Bring something to sit on and dress warmly — this is Maine in the heart of winter, and conditions can vary throughout the day.

Incredible vendor lineup to explore throughout the grounds
$20 for parking
Dogs must be on a leash at all times — no exceptions
Please avoid the competitor parking area unless you are with a competitor
Drones are strictly prohibited
