TEAM REQUIREMENTS
There are no limitations to how you construct your team, except that the (2) designated golfers can only play golf, and the (2) designated disc golfers can only disc during the event. Teams are allowed to have men, women, and junior competitors. As established in competitive golf forever, women and seniors who are eligible to play golf from forward tees will play their respective tees. Women disc golf players will have dedicated tees on longer holes to promote fair and inclusive play. Strategy is incredible important in this event. Is it better to have a balanced team? A team where a player excels off the tee and the other is money on the green? Who do I want to spend 5 hours with having a great time? All factors to consider when building out your squad.
DISC GOLF COURSE
If you played in this event last year, you’ll remember how much variety Fairlawn has to offer when it comes to building out a disc golf course. There’s a nice variety of open, wooded, and hazard play (water, bunkers, greens, etc.) to incorporate into the design. We gathered quite a bit of feedback from last year’s design and intend to make improvements that will make play more competitive, challenging, but fun to throw. Look for more strategic OB for forced shot placement, island holes, and better use of the entirety of the course. This year we will also be upgrading baskets to Discatcher Pro 28 on all holes for more consistency.
