Maine abounds with nature and wonder, from peaks to beaches. Here at Baxter we celebrate all these wonders through our beers. Our passion is focused on preserving these marvels. Baxter Brewing has teamed up with the Maine State Parks to do exactly that. Enter Popham Beach Honey Blonde.
Popham Beach Honey Blonde is a subtle ale brewed with copious amounts of honey malt. We dialed in the profile with wildflower honey from Swan’s Honey in Albion, Maine. The beer is balanced, and finished with a subtle addition of cascade to bring out the earthy qualities of the malt and honey.
Crisp, clean, and refreshing, this ale reflects the visual impact of the first time visiting Popham Beach. A vast stretch of sand with natural dunes, extended during low tides, opening to the Atlantic. Whether combing the beach while taking in the sites, or absorbing the sun and relaxing on the sand, Popham embodies all that is Maine, all that we want to preserve.
A portion of proceeds will go directly to the Maine State Parks to help preserve and maintain this beach and others in Maine. Popham Beach Honey Blonde will be released in Maine early July and will be available in 16–ounce four-packs.
